Potassium bromide has been 
 Physical Properties Colorless cubic crystals. Odorless, taste salty and slightly bitter. The relative density of 2.75. Melting point 734 ℃, the boiling point of 1435 ℃. Easy to light yellow, slightly hygroscopic. Soluble in water (100 ℃ when the solubility of 102g/100ml water) and glycerin, slightly soluble in ethanol. Solution was neutral. The bromide ion can be fluorine, chlorine replaced. Reaction with sulfuric acid to generate hydrogen bromide. Reaction with silver nitrate a yellow precipitate silver bromide.
