 White amorphous powder, relative density 3.25. Of α-zirconium hydroxide, β-and γ-zirconium hydroxide, zirconium hydroxide, three kinds, α-zirconium hydroxide to Zr4 (0H) 8 (OH) 8? NH2O said; β-zirconium hydroxide to Zr4 O2 (0H ) 4 (0H) 8? H2O said; 
 γ-zirconium hydroxide to Zr4O4 (OH) 8? H2O said; chemical activity of α> β> γ. Insoluble in water and alkali, soluble in organic acids and inorganic acids, at a high temperature calcination into zirconia. 
 Preparation for the main use of zirconium and zirconium compounds, but also for plastics, rubber, ion exchange resins and other industries fillers, catalysts, deodorants and pigments. Also used as analytical reagents, and other intermediate products of zirconium.
